Barton springs was a project that I was asked to join midway, after the shop drawings where approved and it was time to fabricate and install the windows. Once I took over the project, I found structural calculations and that the shop drawings and design did not line up with the architectural design intent. I expeditiously worked closely with the architect and drafting and engineering department, adjusting the spring lines of the curtain walls and windows walls for a seamless transition of lines around the whole building and getting stamped and sealed calculations. After making the design as the architects intended it to be; we checked embeds layouts only to find the concrete team mis-installed them for the first few floors. We designed and supplied a new brackets solution that work with all the details. The benefits of becoming part of the team when I did where relevant to all the contractors and owners, keeping the project on schedule and on budget.
